BRAND NEW SKY BRIDGE!
We are happy to announce that a brand-new sky bridge to the Hilton Atlanta hotel should be completed before Furry Weekend Atlanta 2009! This sky bridge connects the hotel with the Peachtree Center Mall, which holds many stores, restaurants, and a huge food court! This is great news for those flying into Atlanta for Furry Weekend Atlanta. From the Atlanta Airport, one can simply hop on a MARTA train (Atlanta’s mass transit system) and get off at the Peachtree Center Station. Don’t worry about what train to get on – MARTA only goes in one direction from the airport. From the Peachtree Center MARTA Station you can simply take the sky bridge straight to the hotel without every stepping foot outside!! Since Marta is only $2.25, this is a quick, easy, and cheap way to share in all the big events we have planned this year. This is the cheapest and fastest way to the hotel, and we urge our attendees to take advantage of this route! More detailed information about travel and getting to the hotel will be available on the website in the coming months.
FIXED: HILTON RESERVATION SYSTEM
For those of you who don't know already, Furry Weekend Atlanta has moved to a new hotel form 2009! However, there have been a few glitches with the hotel's online registration system. We would like to assure everyone that the Furry Weekend Atlanta room block is NOT full. We still have rooms available. For a brief period of time the online room reservation system was showing that there were no double-rooms available in the Furry Weekend Atlanta room block - we are sorry for any confusion that may have occurred and would like all of our future con-goers to know that this problem has been fixed. We are all really excited about this big change and would love to have you share in the experience! However, make sure to book your room early. Last year we wowed the furry world by unveiling four 32" and two 42" widescreen LCD TV's for our Video Game room - this year we have even more in store! For this year's Furry Weekend Atlanta we will be separating the video gaming room and the table-top gaming room, giving us more space for both activities. We also plan on keeping the Gaming rooms open until 5am every night of the convention! You can now enjoy our premier gaming resources until the wee hours of the morning. FURSUIT PHOTOS

This year we are happy to announce the participation of a full-time staff of professional photographers! We will be taking the staff of Furshoot.com under our wing and feel they will be a great addition to the Furry Weekend Atlanta experience.
The motivation behind Furshoot.com came only a few years ago where the group's leader, Tsuka Bull, offered professional studio photographs of Roofur Fursuits in exchange for fursuit construction advice. More and more fursuiters saw the professional quality of the photographs and wanted shots of their own suits, and it wasn't long until Tsuka and few friends formed a small venture selling prints, posters, badges, and other photography-related products geared towards fursuiters. With a passion for photography and mind-set of having fun, Furshoot.com has quickly become the premier outlet for furry-oriented photography in the Southeast.
Fresh off of their appearances at other cons, we at Furry Weekend Atlanta are happy to take in the staff of Furshoot.com. We are so excited about their appearance that we will be offering Furshoot.com a permanent studio throughout the weekend where both Fursuiters and all other con attendees alike can be photographed professionally in an interactive environment. All photos taken during the weekend both in the studio and on the floor of the convention will be posted online for free, and attendees also have the option of buying professional prints, badges, and other photo goodness in the dealer's den. As the con approaches, we will be announcing schedule details and other information in the FWA newsletter, on the FWA website, and at Furshoot.com.

GOD-LEVEL

Our God-level membership is still the best deal of any fur con ever! Every year we make sure our most appreciated guests are taken care of throughout the convention. Last year we took our God-level attendees to Brazilian restaurant Fogo de Chão, where our guests enjoyed a night of all types of gourmet meats “on tap”, all compliments of Furry Weekend Atlanta. They also received four excusive Furry Weekend Atlanta pint glasses colorfully illustrated with art from our 2008 Guest of Honor Bonk. God-level members also had exclusive access to the God-level suite on the top floor of the hotel where we offered refreshments and massages.
This year we will uphold our tradition of pampering our God-level members and plan to out-do every previous year thus far. We have a wonderful selection of fine restaurants to choose from for this year’s God-level dinner and diligently preparing for a special gift we know everyone would be extremely happy with. We are even re-vamping our God-level suite to provide extensive services to our honored guest. In short, we urge our attendees to register for this top-level membership, this year staying at the price of $160 pre-con ($180 at the door). This is a great deal and there is no reason pass up this chance to be treated like a God!
